KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend!! If you've had a hectic week like my husband and I have (or if you're dealing with the recent snowstorm) grab a cup of coffee, get comfy, and enjoy some major retail therapy. This week's Friday Finds is just the thing for some serious online shopping. I was honestly running late with this post, because I got distracted browsing through all of the products available in each shop. There are so many great finds and a sweet, personal touch to each brand. Enjoy! :) Pictured above: Black Polka Dot Print Crossbody Bag by Sudden Inspiration

The first featured store is Sudden Inspiration, a shop that sells the cutest hand-crafted bags. You can find everything from cosmetics bags and wristlets to roomy crossbody bags. The designs pair faux leather with beautiful prints and colors. As I clicked around and noticed all of the bright florals, modern neutrals, and boho-chic tribal prints; I found myself wondering where the vision behind this brand comes from. Owner Melis…

The OkBride Tulsa Summer Wedding Show

We've got some major wedding planning going on around here this month! I just signed up for another bridal registry, this time at Dillard's, where the groom is a Manager.:) I've also got a bridesmaid coming in this weekend to try on dresses, and my fiance and I attended the OkBride Tulsa Summer Wedding Show last weekend.

I highly recommend brides register in person the next time they have a bridal event going on at Dillard's. I got a very nice goodie bag with free perfume and facial scrub and free Godiva truffles!:) I also got a coupon for a big (and free) Southern Living cookbook that is distributed exclusively for new brides.

The Tulsa Summer Wedding Show was full of inspiration and of course some yummy samples. The Flower Girls were there in full force, displaying some majorly beautiful bouquets (pictured above).

We sampled a few appetizers and of course cake. Nothing Bundt Cakes didn't have to ask us twice to try some of their goodies. They also gave us two coupons for a free bundtlet.:) Ken liked their red velvet cake, while I really liked the white chocolate raspberry.

As we went from booth to booth, laughing and kissing, someone made a comment about how in love we looked.:)

The runway show was extremely helpful. It was sponsored by David's Bridal, where a few of my bridesmaids will be trying on dresses this weekend. It was also helpful to see different veils go down the runway. I had originally wanted a floor-length veil, but after seeing it on the runway with various types of dresses, I'm thinking it'll just get lost in my big tulle ball gown.

I should note that all of these pics were taken by my ever-so-helpful fiance. After we parked downtown for the event and I went to put my purse strap over my shoulder, my phone went flying through the air and landed face down with an ominous cracking sound. :( But as my man is always there to get things taken care of ASAP, my poor little iphone was back to normal later that day...and $100 later.

  1. Free truffles? If I didn't have to get married to register, I would so be there!
