25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. A little black dress is the easiest way to use what you have to create a Halloween costume with a few inexpensive accessories and other accessories you probably already have in your closet.Pictured Above: Halloween Black Mesh Dress

1. Black Cat - This is the easiest way to use your little black dress on Halloween. I know it's pretty much the most generic costume in history, but for good reason - it's just so easy and affordable. It's the perfect last-minute costume for women, because you could really use any black outfit even if you don't have a little black dress. Pair it with your black flats or heels and a…

The OkBride Tulsa Summer Wedding Show

We've got some major wedding planning going on around here this month! I just signed up for another bridal registry, this time at Dillard's, where the groom is a Manager.:) I've also got a bridesmaid coming in this weekend to try on dresses, and my fiance and I attended the OkBride Tulsa Summer Wedding Show last weekend.

I highly recommend brides register in person the next time they have a bridal event going on at Dillard's. I got a very nice goodie bag with free perfume and facial scrub and free Godiva truffles!:) I also got a coupon for a big (and free) Southern Living cookbook that is distributed exclusively for new brides.

The Tulsa Summer Wedding Show was full of inspiration and of course some yummy samples. The Flower Girls were there in full force, displaying some majorly beautiful bouquets (pictured above).

We sampled a few appetizers and of course cake. Nothing Bundt Cakes didn't have to ask us twice to try some of their goodies. They also gave us two coupons for a free bundtlet.:) Ken liked their red velvet cake, while I really liked the white chocolate raspberry.

As we went from booth to booth, laughing and kissing, someone made a comment about how in love we looked.:)

The runway show was extremely helpful. It was sponsored by David's Bridal, where a few of my bridesmaids will be trying on dresses this weekend. It was also helpful to see different veils go down the runway. I had originally wanted a floor-length veil, but after seeing it on the runway with various types of dresses, I'm thinking it'll just get lost in my big tulle ball gown.

I should note that all of these pics were taken by my ever-so-helpful fiance. After we parked downtown for the event and I went to put my purse strap over my shoulder, my phone went flying through the air and landed face down with an ominous cracking sound. :( But as my man is always there to get things taken care of ASAP, my poor little iphone was back to normal later that day...and $100 later.
