25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. A little black dress is the easiest way to use what you have to create a Halloween costume with a few inexpensive accessories and other accessories you probably already have in your closet.Pictured Above: Halloween Black Mesh Dress

1. Black Cat - This is the easiest way to use your little black dress on Halloween. I know it's pretty much the most generic costume in history, but for good reason - it's just so easy and affordable. It's the perfect last-minute costume for women, because you could really use any black outfit even if you don't have a little black dress. Pair it with your black flats or heels and a…

Essentials for Transitioning to Fall

There are two kinds of people - those who cling to the summer months and wish they would last longer, and then there are those who welcome pumpkin spice lattes, falling leaves, and boots regardless of the temperature. I am totally the latter! Pictured: Cartonnier Eve Velvet Blazer

Once the big fall fashion issues hit the newsstands, I no longer care what the weather channel or the calendar says; I'm totally over summer. For those of you who are craving Fall fashion as much as I am, here are some ways to incorporate it right now.

LONGER LENGTHS - You can still pull off a boho-chic summer dress, even into Fall, with the right accessories; but as we approach Autumn, it's the perfect time to wear a midi or maxi dress. Simply throw on a light jacket and swap out Summer sandals for ankle booties for a head-to-toe fall look. Though a shorter dress, like this Milumia Women's Boho Button Up Split Floral Print Flowy Party Dress, can transition perfectly with some opaque tights and some black ankle booties. ANKLE BOOTS - As I just mentioned, ankle boots are a great way to transition your dresses from Summer to Fall, and they're perfect for when it's still too warm for tall riding boots. A pair of peep-toe caged ankle booties like this Cambridge Select Women's Open Toe Caged Laser Cutout Chunky Stacked Block Heel Slingback Ankle Bootie works really well when transitioning boho chic Summer dresses.

FALL DENIM -  I live in jeans all year long, but if you tend to wear jean shorts during summer, you can start to incorporate jeans or cropped denim, like these Levi's Women's New Boyfriend Jeans, and swap out your breezy summer skirts for a jean skirt.  Pictured: Pilcro Wide-Leg Cropped Jeans

EFFORTLESS LAYERS - The chilly mornings and evenings that come with fall can be hard to dress for when the afternoons can still be quite warm. Layers are always a must, and there are so many cute ways to layer; whether it be a faux leather jacket, a blazer, or a cozy lightweight cardigan, like this NENONA Women's V-Neck Button Down Knitwear Long Sleeve Soft Basic Knit Cardigan Sweater.
