Festive Fall Decor Picks


I've got a lot of different fall decor ideas in mind for the blog, but first, I'll start with my essentials. Luckily my husband loves fall and the holidays just as much as I do.:) Here are some of my top picks for Autumn decor. Pictured: Pottery Barn Lit Natural Pumpkin Wreath and Matching Garland

A Warm Welcome - A fall wreath is an easy way to set the tone of your home decor during fall. It is, after all, the first thing guests see when they knock on your door. I love a fall wreath made with traditional autumn colors and leaves and mini pumpkins. But I also love some of the beautiful floral fall wreaths too.

A Festive Table Setting - We rarely use our dining table, I admit, but I still love to set a festive table for the holidays. Much like a fireplace mantle or an entryway, the dining room is an easy backdrop for fall decor. I like to add a table runner and top it off with pumpkins and fall foliage.

Comfort Classics Plaid Throw Blanket

Something Warm and Fuzzy - I like to use textures and patterns to play up the season as well. A warm plaid-printed throw blanket or a soft faux-fur toss pillow make those autumn evenings curled up on the couch seem more cozy and festive.

Pumpkins - Of course, pumpkins are crucial for fall. Faux pumpkins, real pumpkins, pumpkin-flavored everything. I don't know what it is about the mere sight of a pumpkin that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy and full of joy, but hey, it happens. So the more pumpkin, the better!

Something Pretty - Fall decor can tend to get a bit...rustic, which I do love. But I like to keep at least a little color and a feminine touch to the look with some fall flowers.

Cozy Candles - Fall is a great time to cozy up and cuddle. And what makes cuddle time better than some candlelight? Make that a pumpkin-scented candle, and it's even better.


Elements of Nature - While I do love pumpkins more than anything for fall decor, I also like to use other natural elements like leaves, pine cones, and acorns. I really loved how Pottery Barn displayed acorns on the coffee table pictured above.
