My Favorite Jewelry Trends for Fall

As back-to-school approaches, I can't help but look forward to the Fall season. One of the best things about Fall in my opinion, is the fashion! With tall boots and suede hats to chic satchels and statement jewelry, it's the best time of the year to have fun with accessories. Personally, one of my favorite Autumn accessories, and the easiest way to update an outfit, is jewelry. From a big bold ear cuff to minimal gold necklaces with interesting little pendants, my fashion forecast for Fall this year includes more modern and sleek pieces.

For example, while I tend to love a pair of sparkly statement studs or a larger dangling statement earring, this Fall I see a modern ear cuff being one of the biggest earring trends, and it's definitely one of my favorite jewelry trends! It looks great on its own or paired with some gold hoops, and you can even pair it with a cool ear crawler. These elegant and modern ear cuffs come with sleek built-in tassel earrings. I love that this je…

Snapshots from the Year

People have some pretty strong opinions about 2016. I'm seeing a lot of memes about blowing up 2016, or telling it to fu@# off. I would have to agree that there were quite a few big challenges. The election certainly created a strong divide that some people have yet to get over, for example.

During that time, my husband and I underwent several life changes - where we live, work, planning a wedding, etc. Those changes, even though they were all for the better, can still be stressful when in transition. In the very least, they take up more time, energy, and money. It takes some juggling to pull it all off. But I like to learn from struggle, and this year's struggles revealed a lot. They revealed true friends, as well as friends (and even some family) who really don't care. I may open up more on that in a separate blog. I am very thankful that through the challenges, my husband and I always felt strong together (and happy).

I know it's easy to focus on the negative, but this post is to celebrate the good things in life...the good things from 2016...and there are so many good things. Trust me, if you can't focus on the good this year, you're going to have a sucky 2017 as well. But if you can learn to focus on the things you appreciate and make a habit of celebrating the little things with the people you love, you'll find that life is indeed very, very good.

There are just too many to put into one post of course, but these sum up what Ken and I enjoyed this year - yummy food, good wine, great movies, lots of coffee, family time, and more than enough romance and care to restore our faith in true love. We like to eat, drink, and be merry.;)

And at the end of the day (or year) remember to look back on the good things that made everything better...the things that brought you the most peace and joy. For me, that was definitely my loving husband, our kids, and a few friends who have stuck by me over the years. It feels amazing to end the year as a family that is simply happy and ready to continue enjoying life together.

I hope you all have a very happy New Year's Eve and an amazing 2017!!
