Editor's Picks: Gift-Worthy Perfumes

A fragrance is such a great gift for a special someone. It's substantial but not too expensive, depending on which kind. And the good ones come in such pretty bottles. For an incredibly unique perfume, Immortal Perfumes pictured above, offers a combination of beautiful scents and rich, romantic history.

My personal go-to fragrances tend to be the Victoria's Secret perfumes. Scents like Sexy Little Things Noir by Victoria's Secret come in such beautiful packaging, though I'm partial to the scent of VS Pink and VS Sheer Love.

A fragrance can serve as a sentimental gift. With scents like Lollia In Love, Lolliamakes for a very sweet gift. I love the floral prints and unique packaging for their other items like bath soap and lotion. If it isn't being given as a romantic gift, for example, a lotion and bath soap set is much more suitable. For a nice sampling of the different scents, try this Lollia Little Luxe Gift Set.

Snapshots from the Week

What a week! I probably say that every week though, huh? What can I say? Weeks are busy, and weekends are for fun and relaxing with my husband. These snapshots posts mainly consist of fun things from the prior weekend, aside from the yummy wine and food pics from weeknights. Now don't get me wrong, we find time to relax and enjoy every day. But the weekends are a nice stretch of time that we don't have to stress about whatever we have to do next and precisely when we need to do it.

Though last Saturday, we absolutely did have to make a quick stop by the library to return one of my books - Absolutely Beautiful Things by Anne Spiro. Whoever had a hold on this book and thus prevented me from checking it out again, I hope you enjoyed it and treated it well.

Lunch was so very yummy. Ken and I have both had cravings for sushi lately, and Pei Wei always hits the spot. It's so affordable and the quantities are just right. We like to each get a noodle or rice bowl (the size small is huge) and split an eight-piece sushi roll. They also have a four-piece available whenever we aren't in the mood for the same kind. The teriyaki crunch roll is so amazing!! Seriously, if you haven't tried it yet, you absolutely must. It's like the Panera or Chipotle of Asian cuisine - fast, affordable, but still very nice and very yummy.

Off Brookside, across from Pei Wei, I noticed a cute shop I hadn't seen before. Sasha Malchi home is full of super chic home goods.

My #ootd on Instagram for date night was this comfy plaid top I wear ALL the time. This is undoubtedly why I will never be a full-fledged fashion blogger...I wear $10 tops I got at Ross years ago, and I wear them often.

Our favorite wine recently is this Gnarly Head 1924 double black red blend. You can see my review of it and a few other wines here.

As the crazy Oklahoma weather went from cold to warm to cold again, we were craving some grilled cheese and warm soup. I went with the canned stuff (don't judge), but I do make a very good homemade tomato basil soup I'll put on the blog one of these days!

Tonight we're watching some of our favorite shows including Emerald City, and either Grimm or Sleepy Hollow, for which I'm about to make some caramel popcorn. Yum! I will definitely put that recipe on the blog soon. I hope you have a lovely weekend!!
