Last-Minute Luxury Gifts for Her

We are getting down to the wire here, with just a little over a week before Christmas. It can be hard to find the perfect gift, but it doesn't have to be. With online shopping, you can find some really great items she'll love, and ones that  don't cost a fortune either.

Etsy can be a great place to find something beautiful and unique. Some items on Etsy have a longer processing time, but some, particularly the jewelry and candle shops, tend to have things ready-made. Thus you're bound to find some very beautiful and unique gifts. You just have to check the deadline for Christmas in each shop's announcements. Some will even work with you on rush orders, so it never hurts to ask! Snapshots from the Week

I am so ready for this weekend. How about you guys? My husband had some very long hours this week, so we are definitely ready to relax and spend some time together. Here is a quick recap of last week and links to this week's new posts.

We started off with lunch at Abuelo's with a friend. Ken and I love Abuelo's. I'm sure I've posted about it several times before. It's pretty inside, and the food is amazing. I love their tomatillo-pineapple salsa, the charro beans, the fajitas, etc. There are some other great Mexican restaurants around town, but we like that Abuelo's is so close to Cinemark.

We'd wanted to see Rings but realized it wasn't out yet, and we can't quite buy into the hype of La La Land. I'm sure it's great and all but...

We went with Bye Bye Man for lack of better options, but I have to say, we were both very impressed with it. It's not just an okay horror film if you're in the mood for something scary...it's very good and definitely worth seeing in theaters. This weekend, however, Rings will be out!:)

Now about that new caramel corn recipe I promised last week...well, it's going to be more of a quick kettle corn recipe, because I realized after the blog post that I was out of brown sugar! There are tips and tricks and measurements (and I did take some pretty pics for a separate recipe post); but if you guys want a quick fix for the weekend, pop a bag of popcorn then melt a stick of butter. Drizzle the butter over the popped popcorn and toss with the sugar, and you've got a quick and yummy snack for family movie night or a Netflix binge. Enjoy and have a great weekend!!
