KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend and welcome back to KCL Friday Finds! I can't believe it's back-to-school time already. Our kiddos are heading back to school this Monday, and my husband and I are ready to get on the Fall routine for sure. Soon after that, it'll be cooler weather (hopefully), more cozy nights at home, and all of the fun holidays that come with the approaching seasons.

In preparation for the Fall, I've been booking lots of product reviews and planning out the upcoming seasonal content, and I couldn't be more excited! In the coming weeks you'll see more in Fall Fashion, Fall Beauty, as well as Fall Decor. For this Friday Finds, take a little time to spoil yourself, because there are several must-have natural beauty products and some boho-chic jewelry that will transition perfectly from Summer to Autumn.

Organic beauty brand BaeBlu (pictured above) was born to revolutionize a shift in the industry. I've personally noticed this shift, as people are wanting more…

3 Looks for the Tulsa Ballet

For our Valentine's date this year, Ken and I are going to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center for the ballet Dorothy and the Prince of Oz. We've been to musicals and ballets at the PAC several times and definitely plan to keep going each season. Looking back on last Valentine's Day, we were there for Romeo and Juliet.😊💕

When I first moved back to town, I thought what should I wear to the ballet? I knew what to wear if I'd gone to a show in DC or NYC when I lived on the east coast, but let's face it, Oklahoma is a bit more casual. This can be a good thing at times, but most of the time I'm just wanting to get dressed up. Though part of dressing well is to dress properly for the occasion - which includes to not be overdressed. But luckily a cocktail dress is in full order for a night of ballet in Tulsa. If you're going to a musical in one of the smaller theaters, you can wear a dress or even slacks and a blouse. But for a ballet at the PAC, it's perfectly expected to wear a nice cocktail dress.

My three top picks for this weekend consist of a little black dress. (That is the easiest option if you don't own a lot of dresses.) But then again it is Valentine's Day weekend, so something in red or with lace is a prettier option.

The third is a great option, because it's easy to wear. A fit and flare dress is flattering and pretty but very comfortable, and it looks great with flats! If you're going to dinner and the PAC downtown Tulsa, you can bet on at least a little walking, not to mention the stairs inside the building...you may want to skip the high heels and go for kitten heels or a pair of dressy flats. A pointed-toe or open toe pair of flats both look great with a flared skirt.

Fashion holds such sentimental memories for me. That striped dress, for example, I wore on my second date with Ken. The lace one I wore to see Cinderella at the PAC, and the necklace with the blue dress was a gift from Ken on my birthday the year before last. I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing the blue dress for our date. You can follow along on Instagram and shop similar looks below. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
