Checking In: Holiday Inn Tulsa

I should start by saying that this pic of my feet up, relaxing...it was because we waited in the lobby for about half an hour before our room was ready. Granted we got there a little bit early, but that was a first for us to have to wait. There were quite a few guests waiting in the lobby the closer it got to check-in time. The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Tulsa South happened to be short on housekeeping staff this particular day that Ken and I checked in for our overnight hotel date.

That being said, I do believe Holiday Inn in general is a great hotel chain, and upon getting a free upgrade, we thoroughly enjoyed a King Suite.

Our upgraded suite had a separate living room area, which was a nice place to relax and watch T.V. before we headed to bed. And the bed was very comfy. We got a very good night's sleep. We always do whenever we're at a hotel, which always reminds me that we should probably get some huge fluffy down pillows, a duvet, and some black-out shades.

The shower has become another thing we tend to love on hotel stays. A great massaging shower head is so relaxing. And I love the little bath products. This Holiday Inn had my favorite Bath and Body Works shampoo.

My favorite part of any hotel stay with my husband is the next morning. We don't have any kids knocking on our bedroom door, no dogs whining to go out, and we get to enjoy our morning coffee and some magazines in a big comfy bed.
