3 Looks for a Summer Wedding

It seems not too long ago when I shared three looks to wear to a spring wedding. But that season has come and gone so quickly, and summer is upon us. And it is the biggest season of the year for weddings, so chances are you have a few invites and may be wondering what to wear. It's pretty easy to figure out summer wedding attire if you keep the location in mind.

Of course you have the invite to start with as well. It should say "Black Tie Attire" or "Black Tie Optional" or perhaps something like "Formal Beach Attire," and it will have the ceremony time. Generally indoor evening weddings call for more formal attire than outdoor afternoon weddings.

Nouveau Atelier de Chocolat

I'm always up for discovering a local candy shop or chocolate shop, and Ken is always more than willing to support my addiction. When I lived in Frederick, MD, I had Zoe's chocolate downtown. Now that I'm in Oklahoma again, I needed a replacement. Granted there are a few candy and chocolate shops around Tulsa, but when it comes to a charming boutique chocolatier, Nouveau in the Rose District Broken Arrow definitely leads the way. From beautifully decorated pieces to delicious and complex flavors, it has everything you'd want in a chocolate shop...and then some.

Ken and I tried quite a few of the different flavors. He loved the Irish Creme one the best, while loved the lavender (that pretty purple heart one pictured above). There was a passion fruit truffle I really liked too. We will definitely be going back to try more flavors!

The shop itself is so pretty and charming, with carved wood, red brick, and cafe tables where you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee (good coffee) with your chocolates. There are plenty of unique packaged items as well, any of which would make for neat little gifts.

Nouveau not only made it into our list of places we'll return to but somewhere I have to go back to and somewhere I highly recommend you visit if you live in the Tulsa area.

  1. This place looks amazing! We have a local bakery here in Charlotte called Amelie's that this reminds me of. I love their art nouveau decor as well! Hope you enjoy the sweets dear!
