KCL 2018 Beauty Awards

Welcome to the latest beauty edit and the very first beauty awards here on the blog! I’ve tried so many wonderful beauty products this year and wanted to let you guys know which were my top must-have products of the year. I’ve picked from new and small businesses only, as I love to work with indie brands. And like most of the beauty brands I review; most of these are organic, natural, and cruelty-free.

These are the items that long after the required testing and promotion period, I find myself still using and preferring above any others. The're the products which despite a never ending stream of free PR samples, I would still spend my own money (and in some cases have) in order to get more of. And whether affordable or more costly, these are the beauty products that I truly think are worth the price. So if you’re thinking about adding more beauty or selfcare products into your 2019 routine, I highly recommend each of these brands.

Snapshots from the Week

Happy Weekend!!🙂 I am definitely ready to relax. I've been working on a new Instagram page and site that I'm excited to share just as soon as the basics are finished. Though you can go ahead and follow the new Instagram here >. My hard-working husband is ready for a break too. But first, let's recap the week, shall we?

Last weekend began with St. Patrick's Day. I made corned beef brisket and Irish Soda Bread then we headed downtown for some green beer. Though we didn't stay too long.

For the rest of the evening, we spent some time at Barnes and Noble and went to see Beauty and the Beast at Cinemark. We both loved it. The music, cinematography, and story line were all very well done. You should see it if you haven't already!

For our Saturday date, we had another staycation hotel night, and it was amazing! We've tried several places in town using Hotels.com, and have found a few favorites so far. This one definitely made the list. It was the Staybridge Suites Hotel off 71st near 169. I'll do a separate review post on that as usual, but I just have to say to my local readers, you simply must try this place for a staycation getaway! It reminded me a bit of the Mayo downtown, to be honest, but at a much lower price.

Do you have any plans for the weekend? Tomorrow evening Ken is taking me to the Tulsa Ballet to see Swan Lake.:) It's going to be so beautiful. I've been looking forward to it for a while. If you're in town and plan on attending, there is a list on the Tulsa PAC website of nearby restaurants and hotels and on the Tulsa Ballet website, you can see a full list of Things to Know Before You Go. Now...I just need to figure out which dress to wear! Have a wonderful weekend!!
