Gift Guide for the Dog Lover

I'm so excited to bring you guys today's holiday gift guide. This one is for all of the #dogmoms out there (and #dogdads). My husband and I have a German Shepherd named Emma (who is currently in a time out for pooping inside...again), but just like our other kids, we still love her. We'd also really love it if she'd quit going potty inside, but that is beside the point. The point is there is no shame in spoiling your sweet fur baby, especially during the holidays!! And while some of these gifts are items for your dog, some are great gift ideas for the dog lover in your life too.

The Dogist 2018 Wall Calendar by Elias Weiss Friedman author of The Dogist, for example, is the perfect Christmas gift for someone who loves dogs.

These super cute Christmas Plaid Dog Collars by Mr. Bow Tie Boutique would be the perfect holiday gift for doggies and dog owners alike! Whether you have family holiday photos coming up, or you simply want your furry friend to look festive for those…

My Top Picks for Spring

March is the perfect time to transition from winter to the warmer months. It is here in the Midwest anyway. It's still chilly here and there, but the trees are beginning to bloom. I've caught the spring cleaning bug lately, have you?

If you have begun to clean and purge; it's also time to add some new things that bring you joy. Add a few fun, trendy pieces to your wardrobe. Add something chic for organization, like these gorgeous Kate Spade cheetah-print stacking boxes. Grab a new book to give you inspiration. And don't forget, find something pretty to liven up your space, even if it's a simple bouquet of flowers or some chic office supplies, like these pretty Ban.do pens. For some chic inspiration, I can think of no better book that Capture Your Style by Aimee Song. I've placed a few others in the full edit, like Kate Spade's All in Good Taste and 52 Lists for Happiness: Weekly Journaling Inspiration for Positivity, Balance, and Joy; but especially if you're a blogger or instagrammer (and like pretty, girly things), Aimee's book is the one to get.

One of my favorite trends for spring is the statement sleeve. From off-the-shoulder to bell sleeves to the long ruffle sleeves pictured above, this is a trend I definitely plan to try this spring. Which spring trends are you looking forward to the most?

  10. Still chilly even here but I checked out Target yesterday and they had some cute spring items. I purchased a foldable imitation straw hat and love it. The cute bohemian knock-offs were made of rayon though and I don't like buying rayon because the clothes don't last. I don't mind polyester and love silk or cotton blends but rayon- no thanks. I'll be checking out Kohls soon. Like ypur style and love those baggy jeans at the top but doubt anyone would have my size.

    1. We've been having a lot of days in the 70s but still cold in the morning, so definitely needing layers. I love the new stuff at Target and Kohl's too, Eve. Those embroidered jeans at the top are going to be a big trend this year so they should become more available in all sizes and price points!
