KCL Friday Finds

Welcome to KCL Friday Finds! Grab a cup of coffee and get ready for some shopping fun! This weekend I’m all about treating myself to an at-home mani for selfcare Sunday and getting that glow with a new skincare routine.

I’m so happy to be using Oh It’s Natural again! Their products are all-natural with simple ingredients, so they're perfect for sensitive skin or for people like me who have a lot of allergies. This 3-Step Complete Hemp Skincare Regimen includes a cleanser, face oil, and sugar scrub. The Hemp All Over face oil can be used as an oil cleanser and makeup remover as well as a moisturizer.

Made with hemp seed oil, sunflower oil, and Vitamin E oil; it’s such a hydrating and nourishing oil. More so than most facial oils I’ve tried, this one really helps to even my skin tone and gives my skin a healthy glow. Hemp seed oil ranks zero on the comedogenic scale, so it’s perfect for all skin types. If you’ve been wanting to try a face oil but have been hesitant, I high…

What We're Drinking Lately

I hope you all had a great week! I'm doing my Friday post differently this time, because I already did my Snapshots post on Monday. The beginning of the weekend seems like the perfect time to share some wine reviews anyway.

Before I get into the wine, I have to mention this yummy beer we had a while ago. This German beer Paulaner Salvator Double Bock is a Bavarian beer brewed in Munich, and oh my, it was so good. I like a full-flavored dark beer, and I also like light beers like Stella, but this was lighter than the dark brews I've had (like Guinnes), but it still had so much flavor. Very very good!

For a cheaper mid-week wine, we also tried Sutter Home a while back. It's definitely a great under ten red. Other under-$10 wines we'd recommend include Gallo Family and Yellow Tail.

Last week we took a little break from the wine and beer and stocked up on some Jim Beam Bourbon. Mmm I love the taste of Bourbon and Ginger Ale. And we got to bust out our fancy new Scotch glasses and decanter that we got as a wedding gift.:)

Last weekend Ken and I had a wonderful date at the park, the movies, and a hotel stay. We stopped by a cool wine shop downtown to pick up a bottle for the hotel. Several places in town had already suggested 19 Crimes wine to us, so when someone at Modern Spirits in Tulsa suggested it (and we saw that they had more varieties of it than other shops in town), Ken and I decided to finally give it a try.

I was unfortunately a bit under the weather, so we just had a bit and saved the rest for home. It was torture waiting an extra day for my cold to pass to be able to finish this bottle. I think I liked it a little more than Ken did, but we both liked it a lot. The Banished Dark Red has such a strong, dark fruity flavor and a bit of a kick, but it's still fairly smooth and isn't too sweet. If you like Apothic Wine, you should definitely give 19 Crimes a try.

This weekend we're going relax, have a nice date as usual, and catch up on a few things here and there too. My poor husband had an extremely long work week. And I've been doing a lot of spring cleaning and work on the blog. I am ready to relax with my love. Cheers and have a great weekend!! 🍷🙂
