25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. A little black dress is the easiest way to use what you have to create a Halloween costume with a few inexpensive accessories and other accessories you probably already have in your closet.Pictured Above: Halloween Black Mesh Dress

1. Black Cat - This is the easiest way to use your little black dress on Halloween. I know it's pretty much the most generic costume in history, but for good reason - it's just so easy and affordable. It's the perfect last-minute costume for women, because you could really use any black outfit even if you don't have a little black dress. Pair it with your black flats or heels and a…

The Best Burgers in Tulsa

My husband and I have a few favorite places in Tulsa to get burgers. We like the root beer at Weber's, and Ken really liked the brioche buns at Roosevelt's. For a budget option, we like Braum's, because their beef and vegetables always taste so fresh. But when it comes to the very best place to get a burger in Tulsa, regardless of budget, or dietary restrictions; it's BGB in Utica Square. Owned by the original Brownie's Gourmet Burgers, the BGB location is home to ample portions and gourmet flavors.

Each time we've gone, I've ordered the Jumpin' Jalapeno Burger. It comes with Tequila-sauteed onions and jalapenos, lime, and Monterrey jack cheese. It is so incredible. And no matter which burger you go with, the beef patty is thick, fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. If I can ever bring myself to stray from the Jumpin' Jalapeno burger, I'll try the Drunken' Shroom - topped with wine-braised mushrooms, spicy mustard, fontina, spinach, and house-made pickles.

In addition to the amazing burgers, they have yummy root beer, served in some really cool curved glasses. And the fries...oh my goodness, Ken and I would go there just for those. They have a menu full of various "Well-Dressed Fries" though we can't manage to try any other than the Suit and Tie fries. They're fried in truffle oil and topped with Parmesan and fresh parsley. If you haven't had french fries cooked in truffle oil, you simply must go to BGB just to try those!

The atmosphere is always just as important to me as the quality of the food, and BGB does not disappoint. Their service is always friendly, and the restaurant has almost a diner feel to it but with a modern twist.

Best of all, it's not too expensive. Five Guys is another burger place we like, but it can easily cost around $30 for two. At BGB, with a deal that is frequently on Groupon, you can get two gourmet burgers, two drinks, and an order of their Well-Dressed Fries for $15 or a meal for four for just $29. If you live in or near Tulsa, you simply must try BGB!

  3. I was wondering what you would say was your favorite. We just went to Brownies recently, and I debated about ordering the jalapeno one. Next time! It is so good, and I love the fries. I think our favorite is The Tavern.
