KCL 2018 Beauty Awards

Welcome to the latest beauty edit and the very first beauty awards here on the blog! I’ve tried so many wonderful beauty products this year and wanted to let you guys know which were my top must-have products of the year. I’ve picked from new and small businesses only, as I love to work with indie brands. And like most of the beauty brands I review; most of these are organic, natural, and cruelty-free.

These are the items that long after the required testing and promotion period, I find myself still using and preferring above any others. The're the products which despite a never ending stream of free PR samples, I would still spend my own money (and in some cases have) in order to get more of. And whether affordable or more costly, these are the beauty products that I truly think are worth the price. So if you’re thinking about adding more beauty or selfcare products into your 2019 routine, I highly recommend each of these brands.

Top Bridal Trends for Fall 2017

I've recently shared the top trends for a spring/summer wedding for 2017, but summer wedding season is already upon us. If you're in the midst of planning a wedding for fall/winter 2017, there are some absolutely beautiful trends for you to pick from at Millybridal UK. Amazing Ball Gown Off-the-shoulder Tulle Appliques Lace Floor-length 3/4 Sleeve Wedding Dresses

The ball gown, which I wore for my wedding last December, is still one of the biggest bridal trends across the board. Who doesn't want to feel like a beautiful princess on her wedding day, after all? I still get questions from readers on how I gave my gown so much extra volume, and the answer is a petticoat. If you get a big princess gown but fail to put a multi-layer petticoat underneath, it won't have as much volume as it does in the product pictures.

You don't have to go with a full hoop skirt. Those can be hard to maneuver and to sit in. I found that this 8-layer tulle petticoat offered the perfect amount of layers and was still easy enough to walk and dance in. I topped it off with a detachable train from this two-piece wedding dress. It added even more layers, with a built-in embellished sash. It really finished off the dress and made it look like a princess dress. You can see my full look here >.

For fall and winter specifically, something with heavy pleating or embellished lace is perfect. The long lace sleeves on the gown above is so beautiful and incorporates my favorite off-the-shoulder trend. Shop that look here >.

Ball Gown Off-the-shoulder Satin Tulle Sashes / Ribbons Floor-length Lace-up Elegant Wedding Dress

Vintage-inspired is another top trend that is still going strong. For spring/summer, the trend is seen in all-over lace boho chic gowns or knee-length fit and flare dresses. But for the colder months, the vintage bride can incorporate the ball gown look as well. The off-the-shoulder look above is the perfect combination of princess dress and vintage-inspired. To get the same look, go for a satin ball gown.

Elegant Trumpet/Mermaid Scoop Neck Tulle Appliques Lace Court Train Long Sleeve Backless Wedding Dress

For the bride who isn't really into all that volume, try the trumpet dress. This fitted silhouette is still one of the biggest bridal trends as well. One with sleeves and a sweeping train is my top pick for a formal winter wedding. You can see my top picks in mermaid wedding gowns here >.

And as you look for bridesmaids gowns to go with the bridal look, don't forget to browse the new Prom Dresses 2018 as well as the bridesmaid options. You can find beautiful and trendy options, and at a better price than you'll find at any bridal boutique.

Are you planning a wedding? I'd love to know which trend is your favorite. Let me know in the comments below!
