KCL Friday Finds

Welcome to KCL Friday Finds! Today's shopping guide is full of affordable beauty-themed stocking stuffers. Don't get me wrong, I love to get candy and chocolates in my stocking, but I also love other gifts, like a cute new pair of socks and especially little beauty products.

A beauty stocking stuffer doesn't have to cost a lot. Between individual sheets masks and bath bombs  to lip balm and nail polish, you can find so many great options under $10. Several options below are even under $5.

The most universal of stocking stuffers, aside from candy, is lip balm. When given as a gift, go with something more luxurious than a Cherry Chapstick from the grocery store. My favorite lip balms at Bua Organics are all-natural and organic and come in options like Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, and Jojoba Oil. For a moisturizing lip balm with the addition of a fun scent, try Einstein Bath Co., for flavors like Sangria, Marshmallow, and Pink Frosting.

A wonderful way to give a luxury beauty…

Snapshots

I have a bit of an announcement for this Snapshots post. My husband has gotten a job in Texas, and we will be moving there next month! We are rather excited for several reasons, though we will miss some of our favorite date spots in Tulsa. We've both lived in Tulsa at different times in our lives, however, so we're very much looking forward to starting a home together somewhere that is new to the both of us.

So we've been busy cleaning and organizing...and trying to get rid of old stuff we don't want to lug around to the next place. And he's been working so hard to cover extra moving expenses.

We still managed a date this week. Although, we've agreed to stop paying attention to movie reviews. We were interested in the new mummy movie, though it got such bad reviews, while It Comes at Night got a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Well...we would both agree that it is not a movie worth seeing at all. We're still looking forward to the new Pirates of the Caribbean, the new Planet of the Apes movie, and the new Annabelle movie.

We've really enjoyed a few new shows lately. Ken and I have been catching up on BBC's Broadchurch, and just watched The Mist on Amazon. What are you guys watching lately?

For one of those cozy nights in, Ken brought home an amazing under $10 wine. This Turning Leaf Cabernet has notes of dark berry and spice. It almost tastes like a dark red blend with a bit of sweetness to it. We highly recommend it.

We also decided to try some gin one evening. He had it with an apple soda, and I made a lime-berry gimlet recipe for the blog.

Also this week, we got our wedding prints and photo book in the mail! They're so beautiful, I can't wait to frame and hang them in our new home.🙂

Well hopefully this summer heat subsides, and you guys have a great weekend!!

  2. Good luck on the big move!

We just finished binge-watching the new season of House of Cards. Frank Underwood is what Trump would be if he had a brain....
