My Favorite Jewelry Trends for Fall

As back-to-school approaches, I can't help but look forward to the Fall season. One of the best things about Fall in my opinion, is the fashion! With tall boots and suede hats to chic satchels and statement jewelry, it's the best time of the year to have fun with accessories. Personally, one of my favorite Autumn accessories, and the easiest way to update an outfit, is jewelry. From a big bold ear cuff to minimal gold necklaces with interesting little pendants, my fashion forecast for Fall this year includes more modern and sleek pieces.

For example, while I tend to love a pair of sparkly statement studs or a larger dangling statement earring, this Fall I see a modern ear cuff being one of the biggest earring trends, and it's definitely one of my favorite jewelry trends! It looks great on its own or paired with some gold hoops, and you can even pair it with a cool ear crawler. These elegant and modern ear cuffs come with sleek built-in tassel earrings. Our New Favorite Main Street

One of the first places Ken and I checked out after moving to our new home, in addition to the Dallas Museum of Art, was historic downtown McKinney, Texas. I hadn't seen an old main street this charming since I had lived in Maryland. Granted we had the Rose District and a few great places in Tulsa to do our weekend window shopping, but the stores were a bit limited.

The main street downtown McKinney is so large that I think we only covered a portion of it this day. Our favorite shop was by far this adorable little store called Plum Creek Primitives. There were so many cute holiday items in there, as well as a lot of unique home decor.

The McKinney Performing Arts Center didn't seem to have any upcoming events that Ken and I would be interested in, but it was still a fun building to explore. We had to go in because I needed to use the bathroom, as usual, but we wound up looking around and discovered a really cool art exhibit.

With shops like Mom & Popcorn candy shop, countless home decor shops, and a very authentic looking cajun restaurant; Ken and I will definitely be going back! Most of the building had red brick exterior, and over-sized flower pots lined every sidewalk corner. And for some reason, there were a lot of adorable frog statues scattered outside various shops.

We look forward to exploring the rest of the shops, restaurants, a farmer's market, and boutique hotels. There are also walking tours of a little village comprised of several historic homes called Chestnut Square.

Well, as for tomorrow, Ken has off and we are going to enroll the kiddos in their new schools here and take care of some other errands before we start our weekend. I hope you all have a lovely and relaxing weekend!
