25 Halloween Costumes w/Your LBD

The easiest way to create a last-minute or inexpensive Halloween costume is to start with things you already have. I do it every year, because I get so frustrated with how expensive yet poorly-made most Halloween costumes are. I'd rather use what is already in my closet, or spend a little extra on accessories or a new dress that I can wear anytime of the year. A little black dress is the easiest way to use what you have to create a Halloween costume with a few inexpensive accessories and other accessories you probably already have in your closet.Pictured Above: Halloween Black Mesh Dress

1. Black Cat - This is the easiest way to use your little black dress on Halloween. I know it's pretty much the most generic costume in history, but for good reason - it's just so easy and affordable. It's the perfect last-minute costume for women, because you could really use any black outfit even if you don't have a little black dress. Pair it with your black flats or heels and a…

KCL Friday Finds

Happy weekend!! Are you guys as excited for Halloween as I am? Though I may be moreso excited about this weekend leading up to it. We're going to settle in and enjoy some shows with the kids. Ken and I have already been enjoying some classic horror movies and the new LORE anthology on Amazon. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you watch LORE this weekend! And of course Stranger Things 2 tonight! But first, we have to make it through the work day, which is a lot easier if you just take a break, grab a warm cup of coffee, and do some online shopping, right? 😉 I've picked out some cozy, rustic items for you to browse this weekend. Enjoy!

Pictured above is a gorgeous Pumpkin Spice Cozy Infinity Scarf by Tiny Kea Co. We're getting a cold front this weekend in Texas, so I may need to use my coat finally. I love to top of my peacoat with a great plaid scarf! I really like the orange and brown colors in the scarf pictured above. Though I really love a classic black and red buffalo check plaid like this one too.

This next shop is perfect if you need to do a little sprucing up this holiday season. If you plan to have overnight guests, for example, this Be Our Guest Wooden Sign by Farmhouse Reverie would be perfect in a guest bathroom or guest bedroom. You can also use this cute coffee sign to create a little coffee bar for guests!

Another great way to spruce up a guest space for the holidays is with a soft throw blanket and some new pillows. I love the plaid prints at Varsha Co. There are so many great plaid prints in shades of red and blue that would fit in well with holiday decor, but would look great year round as well. My favorites are the Tartan Snowy Cushion and the Tartan Scarlet Cushion.

You'll also find some beautiful table runners at Varsha Co., so you can spruce up that dining table as well! A table runner is the perfect base for a few festive candles and a holiday centerpiece.

If you're looking for a quick update that will have a big impact, display these Rustic Cotton Stems by Door and Decor. For holiday decor this year, cotton is a huge trend, and I really love it! It looks great with both modern or rustic designs. It looks beautiful mixed with fall florals or burlap, but looks so good on its own too. I'm really loving these cotton wreaths too! What do you thing of the cotton trend?

My most favorite way too add a touch of warmth and cozy during the holidays is with a scented candle. It's a very welcome addition to a guest bedroom or guest bathroom as well. The hand-crafted candles by Crafty Dogwood come in so many festive and inviting scents. It's pretty tough to narrow it down to just one favorite, but I think I'd go with the Cinnamon Chai. Though it's a close tie with scents like Pumpkin Spice and Cranberry Rose.

Of course, the best thing for a guest bath is some unique hand-made soap. Crafty Dogwood has you covered there too, with scents like apple cider and Fraser fir. Stock up between now and October 31st to get FREE shipping on orders over $20!

And very soon, we'll be all about Christmas as soon as the clock strikes midnight on November 1st, right? I do like to incorporate harvest decor up to Thanksgiving, but I am very much looking forward to Christmas decorations too.

I absolutely adore these Antique Hourglass Coil Springs by UB Designer Furnishings. Styled with the little pieces of evergreen branches, they make for the perfect vintage Christmas display! There are also some antique bed springs in the shop that make the cutest little Christmas trees when paired with holiday florals. Check out UB Designer Furnishings for one of a kind vintage and antique pieces. You'll find small home accessories, as well as furniture. My other top pick from this shop is the Large Vintage Table Organizer. Which piece is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below!

All of the shops are linked again below, so take some time to enjoy browsing, and as always, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
