Every Thanksgiving hostess has his or her moments of anxiety. Hell, I've been making holiday dinners and hosting dinner parties for a decade, and I still get a little nervous when it come to roasting the perfect turkey. That combined with kids, houseguests, and having to make an endless supply of side dishes all timed in perfect harmony...it's a lot for one person. Hopefully by the time you've read this post, I will have answered any of your looming questions, but if there is still anything you are concerned about, please leave a comment at the end of the post, and I'll be sure to answer. 1. What if I overcook the turkey, and the breast meat is dry? Slice it thin and soak it in warm chicken or turkey stock.

KCL Thanksgiving Hostess Gift Guide

Happy November! 🙂🍂 I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween. I enjoyed some time at home with my husband, as our kids wanted to go with friends this year. (They grow up so fast!) And now we can get to what we all really want...Thanksgiving and Christmas!! I think a lot of people are jumping ahead to Christmas, and that is totally okay, but I want to continue to enjoy the fall harvest items until after Thanksgiving. There are so many amazing Autumn-themed products available, and they make for the perfect Thanksgiving hostess gift.

My personal rule is to never show up empty-handed to a holiday dinner. And that doesn't include if you bring a side dish or wine to be served with the meal. The perfect hostess gift should be just for the hostess. He or she will have spent a lot of time and effort to prep and serve the meal, and they'll have to clean up afterwards as well. A luxurious scented candle, or a Fall scented gift soap is just the thing to show your appreciation.

A scented candle is one of the top gift items for any occasion, and with good reason - who doesn't love a pretty scented candle? The Autumn scents like Apple Harvest and Amber Noir Soy Candle at The Rockaway Candle Co. are made from 100% organic soy wax, and the fragrance oils are perfume grade, made with essential oils and zero harmful chemicals. Given my allergies, I would very much appreciate one of these as a hostess gift!

The Rockaway Candle Co. also sells scented reed diffusers. It's a great way to take a candle and bump it up a notch for a Christmas gift, or if you really want to spoil the hostess. Pair one of the holiday candles with a matching reed diffuser, and present it in a pretty holiday gift basket. Check out all of the scented soy candles at The Rockaway Candle Co. I would definitely go with the Amber Noir scent. Take 10% OFF with KCLfall!

Another welcome hostess gift is a pretty hand soap or lotion gift set. The Apple Crumb Soap Bar by Woodstock Wild is two in one. With all natural ingredients like coconut oil, shea butter, pumpkin seed oil, and oatmeal; it is so moisturizing. Your host or hostess can feel pampered and tend to their hands after a long day of cooking and cleaning.

I love that Woodstock Wild recently began using a new supplier that supports an entire village in Ghana through its fair trade practices, and that all items are cruelty free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, and paraben-free. And how cute is the packaging?! At Woodstock Wild, you can find lots of different home accessories and art as well, so be sure to check it out. You're likely to find something for yourself while shopping for a gift. There are several different scents to pick from, so check out all of the scented soaps. I noticed some Pumpkin Spice lip balm in the shop too, which would be perfect to gift along with the soap!

Along the lines of a candle gift, I've been seeing a lot of these wax melts this season. They are definitely trending, so I know they would be a very welcome gift to any host or hostess. I love these Fall Harvest Blend Wax Melts by Rustic Charm Trading Co. Made into cute little pumpkin shapes, they're perfect for Thanksgiving! Though I did notice that "Leather" is one of the shop's top trending scents, so you may want to shop around and see all of the goodies they have. Browse all of the wax melt scents here >>.

Rustic Charm Trading Co also carries fragrance droppers, sachet bags, and candles. And for my local readers, you can find these items at their family country store in Breckenridge, Texas. You can stock up with FREE shipping on orders over $75 FREESHIP75, or you can purchase the wax melts in a bundle - 3 for $10 or 6 for $18! That is perfect if you need to give several as gifts, or if you want to keep some for yourself! I certainly would.:)

After seeing all of the wax melts trending this season, I thought, what do you do with them exactly? I faintly remember a relative would melt scented wax over the stove, and you can do it that way, but I suggest a cute burner made specifically for wax melts. This adorable apple wax melt burner  by RaRa's Gifts and more is perfect for a Fall gift! This apple burner would make for a great teacher's gift as well. It's only $3, so you can easily pair it with other fall goodies in a pretty gift basket.

You can find so many more gifts, like melts and candles, at RaRa's Gifts. Check out the complete Fall Harvest Collection. And just for you KCL readers, you get a special discount during the month of November. Use the code FALL25 for 25% off!!

This next hostess gift is another thing I'm seeing all over Etsy and Instagram lately, so I know it's going to be a huge trend in gifts this holiday season! I know I want one. Wouldn't it be so comforting and cozy to have your cup of coffee wrapped in a soft knit cozy? This Pumpkin Coffee Cup Sleeve  by Neika's Place is my top pick for a Fall gift. There is an apple design that is perfect for Fall too.

If you want to give one as a Christmas gift (what a perfect stocking stuffer), you can pick from a reindeer cozy and a Christmas tree design. Custom orders are welcome, and you can also find knit photo prop blankets, newborn hats, and women's scarves. The knit photo prop blankets are perfect for those cozy Instagram shots! Check out all of the cup cozies, and let me know in the comments below which one you like best!

Now I just had to include a gift for all the wine lovers, as my husband and I totally fall into that category. A bottle of wine is always nice, though you don't want it to be something the hostess feels like she has to serve with the meal. The perfect alternative is a wine-themed gift, like these gorgeous hand painted fall leaf wine glasses by Jodistuff. There are so many different leaf designs in this shop, so you'll want to check them all out. It was so hard for me to narrow down to just one to show you!

If you'd rather give a different holiday design; you can find several winter and Christmas themed glasses at Jodistuff too. I really like the other hand painted items in the shop, like decorative bottles and martini glasses. Many items have a cloth gift bag option, and custom orders are available. It's basically impossible to not find a great gift at Jodistuff. And if you stock up on a few gifts for the holiday season, you can take 10% of order of $50 or more!

One of my personal favorites when it comes to holiday gifts is a mug! Whether your host prefers coffee or tea, you can't go wrong with a cute mug. I'd pair this Fall Coffee Mug by The Paisley Press with some pumpkin spice coffee for the perfect Thanksgiving hostess gift.

At The Paisley Press, there are gift mugs for every occasion, and even some very cute Christmas ornaments! For a Christmas hostess gift, check out all of their Christmas mugs, and take 10% off in November with the code FALL10!

There you have it! Any of these are a fool-proof way to show your holiday host how much you appreciate them. So grab a cup of coffee (and some leftover Halloween candy) and take a moment to do some online window shopping with the links below. These festive shops are the perfect way to get in the holiday mood!
