3 Looks for a Summer Wedding

It seems not too long ago when I shared three looks to wear to a spring wedding. But that season has come and gone so quickly, and summer is upon us. And it is the biggest season of the year for weddings, so chances are you have a few invites and may be wondering what to wear. It's pretty easy to figure out summer wedding attire if you keep the location in mind.

Of course you have the invite to start with as well. It should say "Black Tie Attire" or "Black Tie Optional" or perhaps something like "Formal Beach Attire," and it will have the ceremony time. Generally indoor evening weddings call for more formal attire than outdoor afternoon weddings.

For an indoor wedding, no matter what time of year, you can never go wrong with a Black Formal Dresses. An elegant knee-length cocktail dress, like this FAIRY COUPLE Women's Off the Shoulder Lace Vintage Wedding Party Cocktail Dress is perfect for a black-tie optional indoor wedding, while a sleeveless o…

8 Ways to Achieve Holiday Glam

There is one look I love more than Fall fashion, and that is holiday glam! As it gets closer to Christmas, there are more dressy events to attend, from holiday parties to gallas to the ballet. I definitely prefer the ballet, with my husband. It makes for a romantic date night, one for which we can get dressed up.

1. My favorite way to dress up is with a great cocktail dress. I prefer a little black dress, because it can be dressed up or down to suit the specific event. During the Christmas season however, it's the perfect time for a bold red or some holiday sparkle.

My go-to type of cocktail dress is the fit-and-flare, because it's the most figure-flattering. Though this season it's all about the statement sleeves! See the full holiday dress guide here >.

2. Of course you can't have holiday glam without some sparkle. For those intricate dressy blouses or a high-neck sweater that you can't really wear a statement necklace with, go for bold sparkly statement earrings! For a more casual sweater, you can still add a touch of glam with a pair of statement studs, like these gorgeous Kate Spade Gold Drop Earrings.

3. If however, you're wearing a cocktail dress or a dressy camisole with a lower neckline, it's the perfect time to wear a glitzy statement necklace.

4. Whatever you're wearing to a fancy holiday event, it's always the perfect time for a pretty handbag. There are several different types of clutches that look best with a cocktail dress. My favorites are opera clutches and embellished hard case clutches. For a more casual dressy look, you can go with a top-handle bag or a pretty crossbody, like this metallic ruffled crossbody.

5. If you aren't too keen on dresses, but have a wedding or special event to attend this holiday season, a dressy jumpsuit is just the thing! A jumpsuit is a bold choice, so either go with a stand-out color or fabric, like velvet or sequined, paired with a more simple silhouette; or pick a more unique cut, like this off-the-shoulder jumpsuit, in a more simple color. If you have several different events to attend, a dressy black jumpsuit, much like the little black dress, will be the most versatile, as you can dress it up or down with the right accessories.

6. For a dressy casual holiday look, my favorite combination is a dressy blouse with black pants. These beautiful jewel tones are perfect for the holidays! You can pair them with anything from black skinny pants to dressy trousers to a skirt. For a day to evening look, you can pair one with a pencil skirt and layer on a black blazer.

7. Of course none of these glam holiday looks are complete without the right shoes. I really love a great dressy sandal, like this Steve Madden Carson-R Heeled Sandal, but if it's too cold for open toe shoes where you live, you can't go wrong with a classic pair of pointed-toe pumps.

8. The finishing touch for all of these looks is the makeup! Holiday beauty is so fun and pretty. It's a time to put in a little extra effort and have fun with color, sparkle, and a bold cat eye! Shop the essentials for holiday beauty here >.
