3 Looks for a Summer Wedding

It seems not too long ago when I shared three looks to wear to a spring wedding. But that season has come and gone so quickly, and summer is upon us. And it is the biggest season of the year for weddings, so chances are you have a few invites and may be wondering what to wear. It's pretty easy to figure out summer wedding attire if you keep the location in mind.

Of course you have the invite to start with as well. It should say "Black Tie Attire" or "Black Tie Optional" or perhaps something like "Formal Beach Attire," and it will have the ceremony time. Generally indoor evening weddings call for more formal attire than outdoor afternoon weddings.

For an indoor wedding, no matter what time of year, you can never go wrong with a Black Formal Dresses. An elegant knee-length cocktail dress, like this FAIRY COUPLE Women's Off the Shoulder Lace Vintage Wedding Party Cocktail Dress is perfect for a black-tie optional indoor wedding, while a sleeveless o…

The Power of the Pink Moon

Welcome to the first post in a brand new category on Krisztina Clifton Living, called KCL Wellness. I've been thinking of adding this type of content for a while now, and I just couldn't pass on it this week, as we just experienced the full moon in Scorpio coinciding with May Eve and May Day! This particular full moon is otherwise known as the Pink Moon, not for its color (if only!) but because of the numerous pink flowers that typically bloom this time of year.

And this particular pink moon was a full moon in Scorpio, which is meant as a time to illuminate fears and negative thoughts that may be holding us back. It couldn't possibly be more perfect timing in that it is followed by May Day, which is a time to usher in the new! May Eve, according to old lore, and actually based on the Earth's natural cycle of the peak of Spring and the increase in daylight hours in our hemisphere; is said to be when the Earth is at its most fertile stage. Thus May Day is a time to celebrate new life, new beginnings...it's all about the new.

To take this ancient practice into the modern world, all you need to do is set aside time for some mindful meditation and/or prayer. Think on the things that are holding you back, specifically fears or negative thoughts, and replace those things with positive thoughts and intentions that will blossom into something good!

So get your pretty crystals out, if you've gotten some that is (black obsidian is perfect for this particular exercise), and grab a notebook and a nice cup of tea. This is also a good time for a cleansing ritual, if you like to burn smudge sticks. Though anything as simple as a pleasant smelling candle, a fragrance mist like this Lavender & Sage Smudging Spray, or an essential oil diffuser can serve the same purpose. If you really want to go all out, set the mood with a meditation circle outlined with fragrant pink flower petals.

Now simply make three short lists - 1. Identify the fearful or negative thoughts that are specifically having a toxic affect on your emotions and your life. 2. Come up with positive thoughts and potential actions you can implement to balance out the negative on a daily basis or as-needed. 3. Imagine the good things that will flourish in your life as a result, and actively move towards those things.

I hope you enjoy this exercise, and have a happy May Day!
